- 1 qt. water
- 1-3 pieces of fresh ginger – peeled and sliced.
- 1 lemon – cut into 8 wedges
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 orange pekoe tea bags
- 1/2 cup bourbon
Bring water, ginger, lemon, honey and red pepper to a boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 15 minutes. Discard solids. Add bourbon.
Serve hot or warm.
